- Teaching:
- Performing teaching duties in full-time and part-time studies in Polish and, if necessary, in English in the field of game science, analysis of gaming communities, analysis of games and other cultural texts, the role of games in the process of cultural change
- Preparing and executing course documentation: syllabuses, evaluations
- Archiving student assignments
- Preparing contents and lesson plans
- Cooperation with the course coordinator
- Taking care of the development of teaching competences by participating in internal trainings organised by both the department and the university, e.g. during Teaching Competence Week
- Design and execution of research:
- Acquisition and execution of scientific research projects
- Conducting scientific activities and publishing their results
- Organisational area:
- Participation in meetings of the Faculty
- Readiness to carry out assigned functions and organisational tasks in the Faculty
- Organising and participating in activities carried out by the University, the Faculty and the Institute
- Participation in activities promoting the University, Faculty and Institute
- Representing the University, Faculty and Institute in environmental bodies
RequirementsResearch Field Other Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/Qualifications
- PhD degree in the Humanities, discipline of cultural and religious sciences or arts sciences or related field (at the latest on the date of employment, i.e. 30.09.2024).
- Minimum one year of experience in teaching students and preparing teaching materials
- Fluency in Polish and English
- Experience in fundraising for the organisation and project implementation
- Scientific publications in scoring journals from the list of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, preferably journals from the JCR list
- Participation in the implementation of national and international grants (as a manager and/or contractor)
- Prizes and awards for teaching and scientific activities
- Active participation in national and international scientific conferences
- Experience in popularisation and commercialisation of scientific research results
- Research interests in the area of the study of games and gaming communities with a particular focus on the cultural context
- Willingness to work weekends
- Declaration of employment at the SWPS University as the primary place of work
