You understand that the business cannot move forward without your contribution and you are prepared to support us in building the backbone of the company strategy through multiple trajectories across administrative finance & research.As a Jr. Accountant in Mitiga, you will own three main pillars amongst other ad-hoc and transversal projects;Financial Management

  • Process all accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations and ensure accounting accuracy.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial records and databases.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely payments.
  • Follow up with clients on account receivables collection within due date

Administration

  • Support our Head of Finance and VP of Operations within building and optimising the administrative functions for the business, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement administrative systems and procedures to maximize productivity.
  • Manage office supplies, petty cash and purchases.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for the team.
  • Provide administrative support to staff and management.

Ad-hoc Support

  • Conduct research and analysis to support financial planning.
  • Prepare reports, insights and presentations summarizing key data and insights.
  • Assist with project management for various ad-hoc initiatives.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and process optimization.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices relevant to the business.

RequirementsYour Experience

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Jr Accountant, Company secretary or similar role.
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Economics
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Google sheet and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English & Spanish is a must
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to work.

Bonus points:

  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of specific industry relevant to the company.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish is a plus).
