Salary: Events and Major Giving Communications Intern

Location: UK remote – with occasional travel to Haywards Heath, when required

Contract: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract – With the opportunity to extend

Salary: £21,840 per annum

Salary: Events and Major Giving Communications Intern

Contract: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract – With the opportunity to extend

Salary: £21,840 per annum (real living wage)

Hours: This is a full-time role with some flexibility around hours worked and some home

Supporting Global Events:

Event Coordination: Assist the Global Events Team in managing both online and in-person events. This includes researching venues, reviewing contracts, booking locations, and liaising with guests.
Supplier Management: Handle bookings for event suppliers (e.g., caterers for office events) and coordinate services such as sign language interpreters, translators, and captioners.

Supporting Corporate Partner Communications:

Celebrating Partnerships: Ensure the Corporate Fundraising team has the necessary assets and support to celebrate each Corporate Partnership during relevant calendar hooks or promotional campaigns.
Visual Assets: Curate lightboxes of images and case studies for new partners, enhancing their visibility and engagement.

Administrative Support:

Financial Operations: Set up suppliers on the finance system, raise purchase orders, and manage invoices for payment.
Research and Best Practices: Investigate other charity events (including anniversaries) and identify best practices for accessible events.
Team Support: Assist the Head of Global Events and Major Giving Communications and the Global Events Manager with various administrative tasks, including booking transport and liaising with suppliers.

Additional Responsibilities:

Internal Updates: Maintain iSeek (my portal) pages by adding photos and news stories.
Event Logistics: Handle the booking of the Sightsavers event stand and other equipment, managing logistics for deliveries.

Research Skills: Confident to conduct thorough research information accurately.
Knowledge: A keen interest in event planning, communications, international development, health, inclusion, or accessibility would be highly advantageous.
