Role/Responsibilities:

A Moody’s Analytics Solutions Specialist are part of the sales team and have a key role in retaining and growing Moody’s revenue in their respective area of expertise. Solution Specialist interprets and defines customer needs in order to align the client’s objectives and business requirements with Moody’s Analytics products’ capabilities and value. This responsibility is accomplished by conducting live product demonstrations via web-based meetings, in-person meetings, and through providing collateral to support sales strategies.

Working in conjunction with a frontline sales team, the Solutions Specialist will actively manage the evaluation stage of the sales process for ESG solutions. This will include demos, proof of concepts and trial support.

Solutions Specialists are responsible for understanding ESG customers’ needs for regulation, compliance, sustainability roadmap, portfolio management and other topics. As an ESG expert in Moody’s, you will lead the technical aspects of customer facing demonstrations and workshops by clearly articulating underlying methodologies, while providing guidance on how the product functionality helps to improve ESG risk processes. You will also be responsible for interfacing with product, research, advisory and customer success teams in order to structure projects in the pre-sales process that will be successfully implemented.

  • Understand prevailing trends and best practices in ESG in your territory.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in ESG impacting regulation, compliance, sustainability roadmap, portfolio management and other topics.
  • Assist frontline sales reps in understanding market opportunities and qualifying potential leads.
  • Assist frontline sales reps in creating outreach initiatives.
  • Articulate and conducts in-depth product feature benefit discussions as they relate to Moody’s ESG product offering.
  • Participate in customer facing meetings to align strategies and determine business and methodological requirements that will be used in providing solutions.
  • Gain customer acceptance of Moody’s Analytics products by explaining and/or demonstrating improvements sustainability roadmap.
  • Work closely with the frontline sales team on proposals, Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) responses.
  • Lead trials of ESG from start to successful completion and ensure a smooth handover to the customer success team / post sales for implementation after contract signature.
  • Document market feedback regarding product experience and desired enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering and/or Business Administration
  • Extensive professional experience, including experience ESG or sustainability in a financial services company
  • Fluency in English required and second European language would be highly desirable
  • Strong consulting capabilities with the ability to effectively interface with senior risk officers and key stakeholders.
  • Broad understanding of the competitive landscape for products and services
  • Established track record of successfully developing a network of clients and building deep relationships
  • Subject matter expert in ESG and related regulations
  • Strong understanding of finance, analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills. Ability to present high-level information as well as detailed demonstrations of products & services.
  • Negotiation skills
  • International experience a plus
  • Travel required
