Purpose:

The Paraeducator I assists the Teacher in the delivery of an instructional program, through preparation of the classroom and materials, and through working with individual and small groups of students. The Paraeducator I also provides supervision of student activities in order to ensure that the school maintains a safe and orderly environment.

This position primarily supports a student with a medical condition and a 504 requiring strict monitoring of environmental temperature throughout the day. It requires attention to sanitation of spaces and calm support to a teenage girl.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have medical competency and the ability to engage with a teenage girl. This position requires environmental temperature monitoring, disinfecting of spaces the student goes into and leaves and the ability to develop a supportive relationship with the student while allowing their independence and personal growth.
