Cost Estimation Engineer

We are seeking a Cost Estimation Engineer to join our team in France – Alfortville to provide technical and conceptual support to our sales organization. You will be responsible for creating cost estimations for heat tracing by collaborating with our sales team and customers to find innovative solutions. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

• Create cost estimations, competitive proposals, and revisions according to customer needs and requests
• Perform technical clarifications and follow up on proposals for our sales channels and direct customers
• Enter and update all estimation, quotation and project data in our ERP Dynamics AX 2012 system and Dynamics
• Answer technical inquiries by customers and collaborate with them to find innovative solutions
• Provide technical back-office support for our outside sales teams
• Maintain files and accurately document all data
• Read and understand heat tracing designs

• Strong written & oral communication and negotiation skills in English and French
• Has the ability to prioritize and maintain a high level of accuracy under time constraints
• Can work in a team but also work independently (self-starter).
• Has experience with and knowledge of technical matters (i.e. complexities of products, equipment and costs).
• Experience in B2B within technical markets and industries will be an asset.
• Has a higher vocational working and thinking level; preferably with a technical background in electrical, mechanical or process engineering.
