Team Description

Amadeus IT Group owns and operates the world’s most widely used travel distribution and reservation system and empowers well-known customers such as Expedia, Kayak or Opodo.

Powering close to 50% of the flight bookings carried out each day, worldwide, Amadeus flight search system is a key element of the company’s technical leadership.

The Search, Shopping & Pricing (SSP) product engineering group serves the core Distribution business of Amadeus as well as Airline IT e-commerce business and the Rail IT and Travel Intelligence new businesses. The division is responsible in particular for the travel Search and Shopping products, which power today a vast number of airline and travel agency websites.

In the Shopping Data & Models team, we leverage the data produced by our search engines to enhance our algorithms and build analytics for the travel industry. A typical data set consists of hundreds of million travel searches that turn into billions of travel recommendations (i.e. Terabytes) every day.

Between others SHM is also responsible for optimizing Amadeus flight search engines. Join us if your plan is to solve real-world problems with big data technologies.

We have launched a new search engine that promises a response time 50% shorter than the previous version. This search engine is monitored daily by benchmark campaign which generates a lot of data.

Our monitoring is currently generic but we would like to also develop client-level dashboard to improve our comprehension of the customer.

Main responsibilities:

We are looking for a talented trainee to join our team and help us develop new dashboards to have a customer-level monitoring and expand our data analytics capabilities.

• Identify current dashboard limitations
• Propose and setup new dashboards
• Deliver a regular analysis of customer status

Depending on the achievement on the setup of the dashboard, we can think exploring other topics like anomaly detection.

Requirements:

• English: spoken and written
• Technical
• Python Skills: the candidate must feel at ease at reading and writing good quality python code
• Previous experience in analytical project
• Good analytical skills
• Autonomous, curious and rigorous

• Linux Terminal Skills
• Git
