Job Description:

The RAMS manager will integrate the Parsons PM/CM team based in Marseille (France) to manage all RAMS activities throughout the phases of detailed studies, installation, testing, commissioning of systems, then during the warranty, to ensure on the two existing lines of the Marseille metro:

  • The replacement of rolling stock;
  • The deployment of a CBTC (ground and board) system that will ultimately enable new trains to be run in driverless automatic mode (GOA4), after a migration phase;
  • The deployment of a new supervision and control system for train traffic and traction, to replace the current system;
  • The deployment of new audio-visual means (AVM) and information of travelers on the ground and on board.
  • The modification of the traction logic in order to respond to the requirements set by the new CBTC;
  • The installation of the Platform Screen Doors imposed by the implementation of automatic train operation;
  • The deployment of new maintenance equipment in the depot.

Safety Responsibilities:

The safety manager has the following tasks as detailed below:

  • Is in charge of managing and coordinating the safety activities of the project under the STPG regulation in order to obtain, for each phase of migration, the authorization for start of revenue service;
  • Ensures the compliance with all safety requirements defined, and he maintains the System Safety Management Plan of the operation as well as the RAM Management Plan ;
  • Manages the project’s safety planning, by integrating the deadlines and the needs of the other actors (the MOE teams, the OQA / OCTA, the state services, the MOA …);
  • Prepares for the benefit of the client, based on the contributions of the suppliers that he controls, all the safety cases relating to the STPG decree, according to the milestones;
  • Checks the completeness, the conformity and the coherence of the technical elements provided by the suppliers;
  • Assists the client to close the Critical Point Log exchanged with the Independent safety assessor(s);
  • Ensures a safety control and assurance activity (first-hand activity) of the safety studies (preliminary risk analyzes, safety requirements, system safety assurance plan) provided by the suppliers;
  • Maintains Preliminary Hazard Analysis and manages the associated Hazard Tracking Log (HTL):
  • Verifies or elaborates any specific additional safety analysis necessary to obtain the authorizations;
  • Assists the Client in relations with external agencies;
  • Ensures a regulatory and normative watch.

RAM responsibilities:

The RAM manager manages the RAM lifecycle and implements a process for managing dependability and RAM objectives:

  • Establishes a RAM organization and processes that meet the requirements of EN 50126;
  • Maintains the RAM Management plan;
  • Controls the RAM analyzes of the suppliers ;
  • Ensures that the concatenation of the RAM objectives of the elements of the system allows the objectives of the integrated whole to be respected;

Manages the process of demonstrating the RAM objectives of the specified systems by monitoring the indicators of achievement of the RAM objectives of the systems during the warranty periods, and by driving the reliability growth activity.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a higher education, ideally in the field technical engineering.
  • Professional engineer / certified engineer.
  • 10+ years of experience in the field of RAMS Management of railway projects for metro or suburban/regional lines.
  • Knowledge of the STPG regulation would be a plus;
  • Knowledge of European regulation and standards.
  • Rigor, autonomy, sense of organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional mobility, location of the position : Marseille / France / Europe.
  • Fluent French and English.
  • Full time CDI contract
