Community & Conservation Officer

  • Full time. Permanent.
  • Salary: £29,269 – £31,364. Spinal column points 18-22.
  • Location: Great Malvern, Worcestershire.

The Malvern Hills Trust cares for 1,200 hectares of the iconic, nationally important Malvern
Hills and Commons landscape ranging from suburban green space in the heart of Malvern to remote
hill land.

The Trust is seeking to fill an exciting vacancy in its Conservation Team. The Community &
Conservation Officer will help deliver our Land Management Plan to the benefit of the
landscape, public access, wildlife and heritage. This varied role will focus on delivery of
conservation and land management projects, the running of a range of public engagements
including guided walks, citizen science projects and oversee a lively range of communication
channels including social media platforms, the website and on-site interpretation.

The role is a mixture of outdoor and office-based work.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be educated to degree standard.
  • Have a range of experience of different habitats and conservation delivery.
  • Hold great IT skills and ideally have managed media content for a charity before.
  • Be a great communicator and have successfully worked with a variety of people.
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
