Compensation:
Salary Range: $15.75 – $17.25 per hour
Note: Salary can vary depending upon education, experience, or qualifications.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the production of books and magazines in an accessible audio format that meet the standards of the National Library Service for the Blind & Print Disabled and the requirements of our library circulation system. Production duties include monitoring volunteer narrator sessions, editing audio, formatting audio files, and narrating written works.
As a member of the reader advisory team, this employee provides reader advisory services to Kansas Talking Books patrons. This can include assisting with book selection, recommending books based on patron preferences, updating patron data in KLAS, etc.
Position Responsibilities:
- Records, edits, formats, catalogs, and produces accessible audio materials for distribution in accordance with National Library Service Standards and local system requirements.
- Assists patrons in the selection of reading materials, update patron profile preferences, and answer questions about the service via phone and email.
- Troubleshoots problems with BARD, DTBM, and commercial assistive reading devices.
- Promotes Talking Book Services through the creation of content to be used in library programs, newsletters, websites, and social media accounts in partnership with the Librarian I.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director or designee
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with editing digital audio or video preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
