As a future Portfolio Manager, you will report to the Head of Active Fixed Income Allocationband Total Return, and you will be part of AXA IM Core – Fixed Income.

The incumbent will be a member of the Total Return & Asset Allocation team within our Active Fixed Income Department. He/she will be responsible for the active management of Aggregate portfolios, will communicate with clients and actively promote the expertise. The person will contribute to the Global Rates investment process in order to drive positive investment performance.

Your role and responsibilities will include

• Accountable for consistent, solid risk-adjusted Performance over medium term
• Assist the remainder of the team with the generation and implementation of investment strategies across funds
• communicate market views proactively with colleagues and among Fixed Income
• Actively work with RI team and analysts to implement ESG initiatives.
• Accountable for compliance with all AXA IM, Client and Regulatory rules, policies and procedures
• The PM will take responsibility for certain markets and will be responsible for investment recommendations.
• Work very closely with our Client Group (Distribution team) to ensure regular contact with existing clients and in time work to grow assets across a number of strategies, possibly evolving product development, to meet client needs. 
• Ensure that training and competence required levels are achieved/maintained in accordance with organisational and regulatory requirements.

Your qualifications and experience

• Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Finance or engineering
• CFA / other technical qualifications a plus
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in aggregate portfolio management with a strong focus on ESG
• Sustainability experience to support and help ESG initiatives
• Experience in presenting investment themes to colleagues / clients

Your knowledges and skills

• Passion for bond markets and research
• Excellent knowledge of Fixed Income markets (Government, credit and inflation linked markets)
• Good understanding of portfolio construction, allocation strategies
• Well-developed marketing, presentational and client relations skills.
• Excellent communication skills
• Team player, willingness to share ideas with other team members.
• Strong understanding of risk management
• Self-starter, proactive, well organised, strong analytical and synthesis capacity
• Autonomy, ability to work under stress
• Strong written and oral skills in English
