We are looking for a Director of Field Service Operations to join our amazing team. We are open to applications from anywhere in Europe, if you live close to an airport. The primary responsibilities will be to coordinate and lead all aspects of service delivery for Systems and Software Solutions Lifecycle Services organizations in Europe as we as to ensure operational efficiency and report on key performance indicators.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop and drive the strategic plan for our lifecycle service business

  • Support the Global and European Service Management Office (SMO) to envision and develop new service offerings and deliver new processes and tools.

  • Support, coach and indirectly manage Regional Service Managers in other regions.

  • Define structural requirements to support reporting, time booking, service project management.

  • Develop and lead a service sales and operations plan to ensure availability and proficiency of service resources where and when needed

  • Identify future needs for Regional Lifecycle service operation locations (Countries / Service Centres) and develop required competencies.

  • Use our Centers of Excellence to support country organizations with service operations, as well as for periodic service engagements.

  • Drive the Region to develop a training and education plan meeting minimum Emerson certification requirements as well as incremental competency development to support capture of available market opportunities.

  • Increase installed base customer satisfaction and loyalty through exemplary quality in service delivery

  • Build customer relationship with key resources.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent; further education in business administration a plus

  • 10 years’ experience in installed base business, service sales or service management.

  • Extensive understanding and broad experience in driving a Lifecycle Services business

  • Strong track record of leading virtual teams

  • A high level of customer interfacing skills

  • Direct end-user work experience preferred.

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Proficiency in another European language.

  • Technical knowledge within the automation sector.
