More generally, you manage day-to-day cash needs of such entities and assists fixed income managers in the way to deploy or reduce investments in line with the group guidelines and targeted asset allocation.
You may also be involved in other fixed income asset classes such as Government bonds, agencies, covered, investment grade credit, denominated in €, USD and GBP mainly.
The key duties and responsibilities of the position include the following:
Day-to-day cash management
- Daily assessment of cash available in group entities across Europe, USA and Asia
- Liaising with local entities to get relevant information about potential cash needs and release
- Trading short-term instruments accordingly
Portfolio Management
- implementation of the Group’s investment strategy, in accordance with all relevant Group policies and local guidelines to enhance the economic return
- assisting long-term fixed income portfolio managers in deploying investment programs
- monitoring of the accounting gains (unrealized and realized)
- monitoring of the list of the authorized money market funds (due-diligence, selection and follow-up)
Cross-functional missions
- participation in the improvement of the team’s investment process
- participation in the drafting of investment committees
- participation in the local entities’ quarterly investment committees
- improvement of existing management and follow-up tools and process
Required experience & competencies
Experience:
- 2-4 years’ experience as a fixed income portfolio manager or as a treasurer
- Knowledge of insurance accounting and regulatory framework is a plus
Personal Competencies:
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Work well as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable, capable of delivering results under time pressure
Required Education
Masters in Finance, Economics or an equivalent in other science disciplines
