As the Global Category Buyer for Spare Parts at Sanofi, you will lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for the spare parts category across all business units globally. Your role will support global operations through streamlined, cost-effective procurement strategies that enhance operational excellence and ensure reliable supplier partnerships.   • Lead the development and execution of global sourcing strategies for the spare parts category, ensuring alignment with broader category management and corporate objectives and partnering closely with business units to consolidate needs and create strategic sourcing solutions.

Supplier Relationship & Performance Management:

  • Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers and driving performance management, oversee supplier business reviews, and ensure adherence to service levels, KPIs, and compliance standards.

Contract Negotiations & Procurement Execution:

  • Conduct global Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), manage contract negotiations while securing competitive agreements with favorable terms on pricing, service, and quality.

Digital Solutions & VMI Programs:

  • Develop and implement digital solutions such as PunchOut catalogues to streamline procurement processes, implement Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs to improve expenditure management and ensure optimal inventory levels.

Continuous Improvement & Benchmarking:

  • Act as a change agent, introducing innovations and best practices in procurement processes and benchmark against industry standards to identify opportunities for improvement and leverage global procurement capabilities.

Risk & Compliance Management:

  • Oversee risk assessment and mitigation efforts within the supply chain, ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, as well as corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

Reporting & Performance Tracking:

  • Monitor and report on sourcing activity status, savings achievements, and potential risks while providing regular updates to stakeholders on performance metrics, category spending, and market trends.

Management ResponsibilitiesAbout youExperience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Procurement specializing in Spare parts or retail or fast moving goods company.

Soft skills:

  • Proven track record in building and leading cross-functional teams while influencing stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in category management, supplier negotiations, contract management, and deployment of digital maintenance solutions.
  • Capacity to think out of the box with a problem-solving approach to contribute to the strategy.
  • Results oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, notably on large data sets.
  • Knowledge of SAP MM module and any CMMS tool.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Trained into crisis management.
  • Knowledge of Pharma GMP work environment.
  • Good understanding of finance and legal aspects.
  • Flexible, receptive, resourceful, creative, and results oriented.
  • Proven project management.
  • Technical and commercial Negotiation.
  • Communication skills: Assertiveness, ability to convince/influence others and excellent presentation skills.
  • Able to quickly assimilate new information/skills.
  • Readily adapts to new environment, processes, ways of working.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal sensitivity.
  • Role model in compliance and ethics.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business or another relevant field.

Languages:

  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English required (other language is a plus).
