We’re Axpo’s Trading & Sales division, and we’re on the hunt for a back-end .NET Engineer to join our growing Web Development Team.   • Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET Core, leveraging 8+ years of backend development experience.
  • Design, deploy, and manage applications on Microsoft Azure, with expertise in services like Azure App Services, Azure Storage, and Azure Service Bus.
  • Lead database design, optimization, and management with SQL Server, writing complex queries and ensuring peak performance.
  • Enhance performance with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and caching tools like Redis.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and release management using tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Design scalable cloud architectures with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform.

What you bring & who you are:

  • Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience with .NET, including proficiency in building RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET Core.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing, deploying, and managing applications on Microsoft Azure. Strong understanding of Azure services, such as Azure App Services, Azure Storage, Azure Service Bus, Azure API Management, and others.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in database design, optimization, and management using SQL Server. Expertise in writing complex queries and performance tuning.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB. Knowledge of Redis for caching to enhance application performance.
  • Proficiency in using CI/CD tools (preferably Azure DevOps) for pipelines, release management, and code repositories.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform. Strong understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, and monitoring.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Able to occasionally travel to our headquarters in Baden, CH.
  • Strong skills in diagnosing and solving complex problems.
  • Communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Familiarity with Docker for containerizing applications. Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration would be a significant plus.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize application performance and scalability.
