Job Description:A postdoctoral researcher position is available at the Department of Chemistry, Technical University of Denmark. The project will be under supervision of Professor Kasper S. Pedersen and is starting as soon as possible. The project will focus on the design, synthesis, and characterization of new types of metal-organic network structures based on metallic cluster nodes and using synthetic principles borrowed from organometallic chemistry. This includes also the detailed elucidation of atomic and electronic structures, and physical properties. The group is in possession of state-of-the-art electron diffraction instrumentation and single-crystal electron and X-ray crystallography, and the use of synchrotron facilities are central tools to the project.Furthermore, active dissemination of the obtained results, in scientific articles and through participation in international conferences, is an integral part of the job.The collaborative project involves partners from DTU Physics and DTU Nanolab, who contribute with expertise in electron microscopy and heterogeneous catalysis.Responsibilities and qualifications
The candidates should hold a PhD degree in chemistry with a focus on synthetic chemistry and should have previous experience with single-crystal X-ray or electron crystallography. Experience with handling and manipulation of air- and moisture sensitive compounds are considered advantageous. The candidate should be highly motivated, able to work independently and should be confident in both written and spoken English.
