Join us and take the next step towards a fulfilling career.About the role…This role will report directly to the Head of HSEQ which offers a unique opportunity to take a leading position in shaping and executing health, safety, and environmental strategies at the local level while ensuring alignment with departmental and group-wide objectives. The Lead HSE Advisor will work closely with local Account leads and teams, providing guidance, expertise, and support in the implementation of robust HSE management practices.This is a full-time permanent role and will be based at our office in Chorley along with working from home on a hybrid basis.What will your day look like…
- Work in partnership with the Account Director to create and implement local HSE strategies aligned with the overall departmental and group objectives.
- Attend and actively contribute to senior management meetings, providing insights and updates on HSE matters relevant to the account.
- Manage and support a team of HSE professionals, fostering a positive safety culture and ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet both operational and regulatory demands.
- Set the level of local inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as required.
- Provide HSE input and support in account bids and tenders, ensuring that all relevant safety standards are incorporated into proposals.
- Deliver comprehensive HSE inductions for new starters and develop ongoing training programs to ensure all personnel are well-versed in safety procedures and protocols.
- Oversee the training and development of the E20 system, ensuring it is tailored to support the specific requirements of the account.
- Understand the specific health, safety, and environmental requirements of each client and implement processes and strategies to meet these expectations.
About you…As the Lead HSE Advisor, you will be instrumental in developing and driving a localized HSE strategy, tailored to the specific needs of the team and projects, while contributing to the overall direction and success of the broader department.
