Description:
The production controller is responsible for leading the standard operations finance processes aligned with the goals and targets of SWEP and Dover. The production controller reports to BU Controller EMEA and is a member of the SWEP Slovakia management team. Place of work is at SWEP’s plant in Kosice, Slovakia.
Responsibilities:
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SWEP’s objectives, sales- and production strategies and support activities.
-Guide and support the management team on financial issues and matters.
-Month end reporting of financials and non-financial KPI’s.
-Prepare budgets and forecasts, as well as month-end analytics.
-Preparation of CAPEX requests.
-Maintenance of standard cost in close cooperation with Global Finance (product cost).
-Business Partner for operational excellence initiatives.
-Lead and enhance the local financial operations compliance framework, including stock count, slow-moving stock, and fixed assets.
-Work closely with counterpart at the sister plant in Landskrona, Sweden, aiming to standardize and harmonize procedures and best practices between the two plants.
Requirements:
-University degree within Economics, preferably with a focus on financing/financial economics – or equal
-Min. 5 years of experience in production /manufacturing controlling – preferably within an international company.
-Understanding and awareness to Financial & Accounting considerations across departments covering Supply Chain, Warehousing, Operations, Production and Corporate Functions.
-Preferably, experience gained adding financial & Accounting support to internal initiatives on Continious Improvements, CAPEX, Sustainability initiatives i.e. Energy Consumption
-Demonstrating discretion, confidentiality, and integrity
-Result driven with understanding of the need to achieve results the correct way
-Flexible, with a strong can-do attitude
-Able to motivate and develop others.
-Professional fluency in Slovakian and English, both written and verbal
-In-depth understanding of end-to-end finance and production processes, including ERP, BI, and related IT systems
-Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
