Senior Manager, Solutions Architect / Solutions Engineering – Remote, Japan
This position is remote, based in Japan and candidates must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Japan.
The Solutions Architecture / Solutions Engineering team mission is to drive our customers’ success through technical and business consultation. While using technical and domain-specific expertise, The Solutions Architecture / Solutions Engineering team strive to become trusted advisors (https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/customer-success/solutions-architects/#trusted-advisors) to our prospects, customers, and partners.
The Solutions Architect / Solutions Engineering Manager (https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/customer-success/solutions-architects/sa-manager/) collaborates around unique requirements, identifies improvements in the go-to-market approaches and focussed on prioritises on strategies to address the market’s requirements. The SA/SE management is aligned in the interest of technical matters to address exisiting needs raised by customers and priotise on innovative requirements. The SA/SE management will collaborate with product teams to achieve required outcomes.
The Manager, Solution Architect / Solution Engineering in Japan will report to the Japan Country Manager.
The Role of The Senior Manager, Solutions Architect / Solutions Engineering – Japan

Understand and evangelize GitLab’s vision, strategy, and values to your team while also translating them for application to team-specific scenarios.

Grow a highly effective team through hiring, coaching, and retention of personnel in Japan

Provide continuous feedback to your team members as well as peers and leaders.

Be accountable for the overall execution of your team while tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).

Provide clear communication to your team, peers, and leadership on all essential matters.

Guide by example while performing the responsibilities of a solution architect to drive customer success.

Work closely with regional sales managers on strategy.
