We empower our teams to put science into meaningful action and give our R&D colleagues the autonomy, resources and tools they need to take science a step beyond.Location/Division Specific InformationIn Eindhoven, we work with more than 1000 colleagues to develop, market, and produce the world’s most sophisticated electron microscopes.Discover Impactful Work:We are seeking a motivated Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join our SEMI BU R&D group and streamline the value delivery of our semiconductor workflows. Our teams develop innovative automation software for electron microscopes, specifically tailored for semiconductor applications.As a part of the software team in Eindhoven, you will collaborate closely with the systems teams in Eindhoven and the automation teams in Brno, Czech Republic. These teams are integral to the Agile Release Train, delivering value to semiconductor customers.The teams use a diverse range of technologies, languages, and tools, including .NET, Python, TypeScript, WPF, REST API, Jenkins, gRPC, Jira, and Docker.Your assignment will be a mixture of the following activities:
- Manage and lead the SEMI workflow and automation software delivery by steering the ART with the Product Manager and the Architect
- Facilitate SAFe ceremonies like PI planning
- Tracking of the execution of the features and capabilities. Manage risk and dependencies
- Coach the basics of Agile, Scrum and SAFe to the organization
- Support the PM and POs in doing the right things
- Coach and empower the Scrum Master on their team role
- Regularly synchronize with other RTEs to tackle common impediments
How will you get there?The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary technical environment to address challenging technical problems. The successful candidate possesses the following combination of education and experience:
- Typically requires, BSc or MSc degree with at least 5 years of management experience in a software oriented environment (e.g. project leader or RTE).
- Proven ability to lead groups, manage project work, and maintain collaborator relationships
- Experienced with the Agile/Scrum development process. Certified in scrum or SAFE preferred
- Experienced as a change agent, driving relentless improvement. Used to coach pears in different roles (e.g. Scrum Masters and Product Owners).
- Good interpersonal skills, and demonstrated servant leadership
- Ability to understand the customer’s needs and translate it into actions/ projects.
- Experience in multi-cultural environments
