Be a part of our family…We are McCain!Job purpose:As a HR Business Partner for the Plant in Lelystad at McCain, you will play a critical role in driving the company’s HR initiatives and supporting the business units.Developing a multi-year plan for HR within the plant, in line with the plant’s strategy and the HR strategy for CE. Achieving the HR plan’s objectives regarding the qualitative and quantitative staffing of the plant in the short and long term.You are a member of the Plant Leadership team (PLT) will report to HR Director CE, Manufacturing & Agriculture and the Plant Manager Lelystad.About department:The HR department at Plant Lelystad consists of an HRBP, and a HR Specialist and is part of the European HR organization. Due to the coming departure of the current HRBP, this position becomes vacant.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic business partner support and build strong relationships with operational leaders, developing an approved multi-year HR plan in line with the plant strategy and regional HR strategy for McCain to maximize profitability and protect plant continuity. Contribute to the overall plant strategy with a focus on HR aspects, as a member of the Plant Leadership Team (PLT).
  • Work closely with local HR specialist to ensure proper HR administration along with the Employee Experience Center in accordance with legal, local, regional and corporate guidelines and ensures HR information is provided through monthly, quarterly and annual reports, enabling local management to respond quickly and appropriately. Ensure legal compliance throughout all HR processes and management.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Expertise to define and implement forward-thinking HR strategies and solutions to meet business environment and functional needs (Organizational Development, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Diversity Equity & Inclusion).
  • Partner with Total Rewards team to implement competitive compensation, benefits, reward and recognition programs. Make recommendations to ensure alignment between people management and compensation practices (job evaluation, salary administration, compensation design and performance management) within business strategy.
  • Drive a culture of performance, results, and positive employee relations, coaching leaders on talent management, and performance differentiation. Partner with Learning & Development and the business to define training and development needs based on organizational and personal development plans.
  • Advise local management on organizational design and structure, appropriate within the McCain CE strategy, and guide the processes of change to achieve an efficient and effective organizational structure.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and the business to develop staffing strategies to ensure a robust pipeline of quality candidates.
  • Advise and support the Plant Manager during meetings and interactions with the Works Council, in accordance with legal rules and regulations, to make sure that plant objectives are achieved, ensuring positive employee relations and constructive social dialogue.

About You:

  • You have a background in human resources or a related field with at least 5 years of experience or more.
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist (preferably in a production environment) with strong knowledge of Change/Cultural Management, HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Demonstration of ability to positively influence others, particularly leadership development and coaching.
  • Growth and a safety mindset with a proactive attitude.
  • Strong data analytical skills and process orientation along with proficiency in MS Office software including solid experience working with Microsoft Excel (generating and interpreting pivot tables, graphs and V-lookups)
  • Strong bias for action, a keen sense of urgency and the ability to drive impactful results in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
