You’ll provide the talent, ambition, and drive.As a Senior Data Product Owner, you will be responsible for building and sustaining relationships with all key stakeholder who rely on the Data Products in your remit. You will work through the prioritization of business requirements and product features to drive value for our clients, networks and members. You will leverage your expertise in Agile product management and leadership skills to guide stakeholders, ensuring the successful implementation and continuous improvement of the data products.
The ideal candidate will be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional team members, establish trust and credibility in a matrix organization, as well as demonstrate effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills.Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny offices and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.Primary Responsibilities of a Senior Data Product Owner:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Product Owners in developing and deploying change, associated with data transformations to better serve analytical solutions for client and pharmacy performance management.
  • Negotiate the allocation of resources effectively to meet project deadlines and business objectives
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to influence decision-making and drive data-driven strategies
  • Motivate stakeholders to support the product vision and goals; Identify success criteria and achieve consensus on strategies, requirements, and roadmap.
  • Drive improvement in standards, specifically data quality and change management.
  • Engage with internal business and system delivery practices.
  • Communicate plans, designs and analytic results to business partners.
  • Embraces and champions the need for change; Provides tools to support change; Identifies and implements strategies to gather support and achieve adoption of change within own area of responsibility
  • Develop procedures, policies, standards and follow up with stakeholders where required

Required Qualifications of a Senior Data Product Owner:

  • Experience solving business problems using technical solutions.
  • Significant experience in operations, customer success, product development and/or product management
  • Experience owning and delivering projects that result in real business value.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts and insights to stakeholders at all levels across the organization. Strong presentation and influencing skills.
  • Experience working within a team applying the Agile framework
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to manage multiple activities, assess priorities and achieve solutions under tight deadlines for themselves
  • Experience in supporting the requirement gathering for the building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data products
  • Experience working in a large multinational company or similar environment
  • Proven ability to leverage data to drive insights and make informed product decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data-driven insights and translate them into actionable product plans.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and UX/UI designers.
  • Familiarity with data-related technologies and tools, such as data warehouses, ETL processes, and data visualization platforms.

Preferred Qualifications of a Senior Data Product Owner:

  • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies, like PRINCE2 or other, and/or product management best practices
  • Hands-on experience working with data products in a business analysts/project manager capacity
  • Deep understanding of business strategies and the ability to align product strategies with organizational goals
  • Proven exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
