Job Title Collections Manager – DACHJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Collections Manager to join our Accounting Operations team at Philips. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the Collections DACH team and driving efforts to reduce Accounts Receivable. As a key stakeholder in the Order to Cash process, you will serve as a strategic partner, collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless and efficient operations.As a leader and mentor, you will guide your team in fulfilling their process management obligations, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in optimizing our collections processes, enhancing customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.Collections Manager will be responsible for around 15 FTE + 1 Team Lead. This position reports to Credit & Collection Manager EuropeProcess management activities:Driving operations performance by ensuring that key design principles are adhered to, by following the Hoshin Planning and ensuring that improvement projects are executed to time, cost and qualityDriving productivity initiatives across GBS and deliver productivity by driving process simplification, standardization and automation initiativesManaging Account receivable portfolio by driving transparency and standardizationDriving root cause analysis and runs regular reviews with local teams to identify which processes result in manual activities/late payments and works with LEAN operations, sales, finance Business Partners, to find solutions to eliminate/reduce the root causesManaging the Collections domain and improvement of processesManage projects’ team members within Credit and CollectionsManage risk at a local/corporate level to ensure transparency of risk portfolio and to highlight when credit exposures are increasingOwnership ICS controlsSupport Sector and Legal in restructuring bad debtLeadership activities:Seting up performance KPIs and mentoring team to drive them efficiently, ensures training curriculum is available and leads on- and offboarding processesDriving team engagement: by identifying gaps and opportunities through engagement survey results and taking actions to improve engagement scoreResponsible for performance management and development of teamManage stakeholders and standard processes within defined Accounting Operations service model; implementing change where necessaryOur benefits:Annual bonus based on performance achievedPrivate medical care with the option to extend it to family membersBenefit System cardsDiscount for Philips’ productsWide variety of trainingsPromotion of a healthy lifestyle in the officeEmployee Assistance ProgramHybrid way of working (your presence is required at least 3 days per week at office in Lodz)To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:At least 5 years of experience in finance positions and at least 3 years of experience in people management.Experience in managing international and multicultural teamsExperience with complex stakeholders’ management on senior director levelExcellent analytical“excellent” communications skillsA Bachelor/master’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Legal or related areaFluent English both written & spokenKnowledge of German language as an advantageCustomer-focus approachDetermination to achieve excellent results.Knowledge of LEAN MethodologyHow we work together
