About the roleOur client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support their Data and Analytics function, focusing on optimizing the use of commodity data (power, gas, metals) within a dynamic trading environment. This remote role involves streamlining business processes, leveraging data for decision-making, and driving innovation in a fast-paced, data-rich context.You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including analysts, developers, and architects, to resolve issues, implement automation, and contribute to the development of robust data infrastructure. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for this client-facing position.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse and refine complex data processes to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.Oversee data provisioning, including the collection and processing of market data.Enhance internal data platforms with new features such as data integrity checks, governance protocols, and visualisation tools.Document requirements, user stories, and technical guides; share expertise with internal teams.Promote data-driven improvements and maintain high standards of data quality.Skills and Experience RequiredExperience working with commodity data (Power, Gas, Metals) and familiarity with trading/financial terminology.Proficiency with data platforms like ZEMA, Refinitiv, or Bloomberg.Strong technical skills, including API integration (e.g., Postman), real-time data handling, and troubleshooting (e.g., ELK tools).Expertise in data visualisation tools such as Grafana, Power BI, or Tableau.Solid understanding of trading systems and data formats (JSON, CSV, SQL).About the ClientOur client is a global leader in the energy sector, dedicated to ensuring energy security and advancing sustainability through innovative solutions.
