What is the opportunity ?This is a terrific role for a Financial Reporting Manager to lead a team with a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities. The role will also allow you to engage with different partners in the business, including finance and accounting, senior management, business change, IT, actuarial, and communications.Lead the financial reporting team in delivering IFRS reporting to BOI Group, Statutory financial statements, and Solvency II reporting to the Central Bank of Ireland.In this role you will:

  • Lead a reporting team responsible for the production of the FRS 102/103 NIAC Financial Statements, including subsidiaries within the company structure.
  • Coordinate the BOI Group reporting process for IFRS 17 & IFRS 9 accounting and disclosure notes.
  • Manage Balance Sheet and P&L related Solvency II submissions to the Central Bank.
  • Serve as a senior member of the Wealth & Insurance finance function, contributing significantly to driving and implementing change across the department.
  • Participate in the review and sign-off of disclosure notes, financial statements, and CBI submissions.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of Finance professionals in delivering key internal and external deliverables.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors.
  • Establish, maintain, and grow strong collaborative relationships within BOI Group Finance and the Wealth and Insurance division.
  • Contribute to companywide projects impacting finance processes and functions.

  • Proven track record in delivery with a demonstrated ability in leading multiple tasks.
  • Experience in and knowledge of accounting processes and accounting systems.
  • Demonstrated experience of developing strong collaborative relationships with collaborators.
  • Ability to learn new systems to support business needs.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, multitasking, and leading time independently in a constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proven ability to work effectively with, and constructively challenge and influence the actions of collaborators.
  • IFRS 17 Knowledge.

Essential QualificationsQualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQE, with experience working on regulatory, IFRS, and FRS reporting.More about the teamThe Financial Reporting and Control function is responsible for the production of the statutory and Group Wealth and Insurance financial statements. The team is also responsible for monthly reporting to BOI Group, Management reporting, and Solvency II regulatory reporting to the Central Bank of Ireland. This involves a wide range of processes and controls being performed within the function on tight deadlines.This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location in Dublin.
