This role encompasses various B2B marketing tasks, including completing and implementing the strategy across all marketing channels (internal and external communications, campaigns, content marketing, website, social media, events, etc) in accordance with local business objectives.From your position in Spain, you will work to strengthen the capabilities and impact of marketing across the region, collaborating closely with other country leads. This role will also lead on new initiatives across southern European countries and help us to collectively to raise Worldpanel’s visibility across Europe.Leading a team of three, your role is to improve marketing’s impact by working closely with local commercial teams and collaborators to align with business objectives. You’ll also provide expert guidance on brand, product marketing, and communication strategy.The role will concentrate on initiatives that improve brand awareness, acquire and retain clients, and strengthen internal engagement and expertise.Role Description
- Implement the Southern Europe (SE) marketing strategy locally, taking into account the local business priorities and growth objectives, in collaboration with sales, analytics, product, and other collaborators.
- Transform global and regional marketing strategies into local campaigns that effectively address specific market needs and achieve key goals, while contributing to Kantar’s overall visibility in SE.
- Actively build collaborative relationships with collaborators across the local businesses, as well as with marketing peers from other countries and COE colleagues.
- Act as the main connection between the commercial teams and the marketing organization, gaining a strong grasp of local client requirements, using client survey results and feedback, along with the sales teams’ local knowledge and experience.
- Establish and implement local demand generation campaigns to drive leads for the commercial teams, working closely with the sales teams, agencies, and demonstrating standard methodology and findings.
- Design and implement the roll out of product marketing campaigns and new product launches, aimed at driving adoption and revenue growth.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze data and metrics, and provide valuable insights and recommendations for optimizing campaigns, including reporting on the value generated.
- Analyse, measure and optimise all stages of the Iberia & SE marketing funnel across web, email, social, search, paid campaigns etc.
- Build, test and optimize paid campaigns across channels, including digital, social media, paid search, etc.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis for Iberia, collaborating with commercial and product teams to ensure timely business releases using standard methodology.
- Develop effective marketing materials for the commercial teams that clearly convey our unique selling points (USPs). Ensure that the materials align with the brand’s tone and positioning.
- Support commercial teams with any additional content needs to promote our products and services such as articles, videos, web copy, case studies and other marketing materials.
- Ensure that all client-facing materials such as presentations, RFPs, etc., are on brand and consistent across the market.
- Complete the roll out of region-specific thought leadership materials, adapting and translating content to match local requirements, and promote through appropriate channels, with assistance from the Content & Events COE.
- Manage the development and implementation of client events, working with customers, partners, and team members to ensure excellent content and successful outcomes.
- Identify and support the promotion and execution of speaking opportunities at third-party events to enhance our visibility with clients and industry, using standard methodology from COE.
- Lead the relationships with key industry associations and explore partnership and collaboration options to expand our reach with this critical audience. Find opportunities to build our reputation and promote our capabilities and accomplishments through industry body award programs and submissions.
- Complete local GMS releases with support from the Media COE and media agency. Manage local media partnerships and act as the main contact for the media agency to improve media coverage and impact.
- Take charge of the local internal communications programme, which includes managing business updates, internal newsletters, intranet, and internal social media channel. Assist the local leadership teams with town halls and communications sessions, bringing to bear existing programmes and standard process from the Comms COE.
- Oversee the maintenance and optimisation of website and social media channels, ensuring relevant, timely and engaging content.
- With support from the Content & Events COE, establish a local podcast series including content ideation, coordination, briefing, delivery, reporting aligned to highlight expertise, and products/services aligned to business priorities
- Manage the marketing budget and plans with regular monthly reporting on the return on investment for all marketing activities.
Role Requirements & Capabilities
- Bilingual: Spanish and English, with Portuguese desired
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar marketing role with demonstrable experience managing hybrid teams and delivering results that drive revenue growth
- Solid understanding of buyer personas, demand generation and the B2B marketing funnel
- Previous marketing automation and CRM management experience, Microsoft Dynamics/Salesforce/Salesforce Account Engagement preferred
- Excellent knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques (including paid campaigns, SEO and SEM, etc) and analytics tools to measure and optimise campaign performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, an influential and collaborative communicator
- Driven by outcomes, capable of thinking broadly and implementing tasks with precision
- Outstanding foresight in commercial matters and ability to establish strong connections
- The ability to adapt quickly, establish credibility and maintain strong working relationships at all levels in a proactive manner.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work on own initiative and enjoy working and excelling as part of a team
- Experience working with distributed collaborator teams and collaborating cross-functionally across marketing, sales, and product management
- Highly analytical with a strategic approach. Ability to think critically and make optimization decisions based on data.
- Proactive in seeking out solutions to business problems and brining approaches to the organization. Take initiative to bypass roadblocks and think creatively on how to accomplish organizational goals.
