Become a childcare coordinator at Migrantcirklen – Copenhagen’s new refugee community space – and help us protect basic rights and create better conditions for migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers in Denmark.If you wish to make a difference for refugees in Denmark and could see yourself as part of an organisation that fights for basic rights and social equality, contributing to meaningful work – now is your chance to join Migrantcirklen’s team as an childcare coordinator and help us build better opportunities for refugees, migrants and asylum seekers in Denmark.The roleIf you’re passionate about creating safe, engaging, and fun environments for children, then you might be Migrantcirklen’s new childcare coordinator!Many families and single mothers choose to put their children’s needs before their own, and as a result, don’t have time to participate in our activities. That’s why we provide childcare for all families joining our community. This way, we ensure that parents can comfortably attend Danish class, Women’s Circle or receive legal advice, knowing that their kids are being cared for.As a childcare coordinator, you will be responsible for organizing, monitoring and developing our childcare activities. You will work with a team of volunteers taking weekly shifts in the children’s space.Our childcare is more than a place where children are simply looked after until it’s time to go home. It’s a space where they can socialize, grow, and thrive through creative activities, sports, and homework support.If you see yourself facilitating that – this role is for you!Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning activities and field trips.
  • Coordinating with childcare volunteers.
  • Introducing new volunteers to the programme and routines.
  • Monitoring the attendance, activities and development of the kids.
  • Taking childcare shifts.

About you:We’re looking for someone with pedagogical experience, maybe working as a teacher, in a kindergarten, or something else. It’s important that you thrive in teamwork, supporting and qualifying other volunteers.Creative spirit and ideas are also more than welcome.The internship is unpaid, 15-2 hrs a week, starting in February or January.About usMigrantcirklen is Copenhagen’s new community space for refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers.
