Who we are looking forState Street Global Advisors manages and is a promoter of investment funds worldwide. The Global Funds Management team is responsible for handling all processes related to investment fund governance and fund operations, including coordination of board meetings, maintenance of offering documents, taxation, service provider oversight, maintenance of existing cross border registrations with host regulators and listing exchanges, monitoring of fund costs, fund financial reporting and life cycle events. As such we are looking for an Officer to lead and manage sub-custody account openings and maintenance for our SSGA funds. Candidates must evidence a working knowledge of European fund structures. Successful candidates will demonstrate a continuous improvement and innovation mindset and be technologically savvy.The role is responsible for managing the sub-custody account opening, maintenance and renewals process for all of our European funds to ensure local regulatory adherence with documented market requests as well as enrolling the SSGA funds into class actions as well as supporting with sub-custody account openings for our US domiciled funds.Why this role is important to usYour scope of responsibilities will include managing and coordinating sub-custody market openings ensuring pipeline of activity is prioritized and managed appropriately, ensuring effective onwards communication with key stakeholders, enrolment of funds into class actions, input into team and committee reporting, coordination and completion of regulatory filings, Range Manager and Designated Person support as necessary.You will coordinate and lead regular regulatory filings, engaging with key stakeholders to ensure consistency and harmonization of the filings across ranges and jurisdictions. Join us.What you will be responsible forAs Market Opening Oversight Manager you will:
- Lead on managing the life cycle of sub-custodian accounts for our European funds ensuring harmonization and consistency of approach
- Project manage, track and prioritize activities based on regulatory need, deadlines set internally or by clients
- Coordinate and communicate with core internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of activities
- Oversee and report on the service levels of the key external stakeholder supporting on these services
- Support on sub-custody account openings, renewals and maintenance for US domiciled funds
- Preparation of reports to the Fund Boards and SSGA committees
- Co-ordinate the class action process
- Create, maintain, review and update appropriate procedures and policies
- Preparation of quarterly metrics and productivity analysis
- Ensure timely execution of all BAU processes with a focus on minimizing enterprise risk

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- min 2 years relevant experience in fund / funds management or operations
- PowerPoint, Excel and Word proficient
- Background in operations and knowledge of European fund regulation (e.g. COLL, UCITS, AIFMD) would be helpful.
