This area is responsible for developing a continuous improvement process on strategic issues, as well as Cost Engineering, and all reporting on these matters to the Project Executive Management. You will become part of a team of highly skilled and experienced colleagues, with high engagement and focus on delivering good results.You’ll be working with the framework at project level, supporting management decisions in Novo Nordisk Engineering by providing prudent cost insights, and work closely within the project setup. Your expertise will guide the management of project costs from conception to completion. The position involves possible travel to Kalundborg, for the purpose of interacting with fellow project members.Location Kalundborg or Virum Department Mechanical department

As a Cost Engineer in the Mechanical department, you’ll:

• Generate Process, Utility and Mechanical cost estimates for units and piping installations

• Work in our own developed Excel based cost tools

• Have an eye for future development of our cost tools into our digital strategy

• Collaborate closely with the Cost Engineering department to coordinate and integrate cost inputs together with Work Package Owners

• Classify project costs accurately into predefined categories in collaboration with stakeholders

• Maintain a clear segregation of costs to streamline follow-up on funding sources in the project

• Tag and track Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) on change orders (COs)

• Support estimates of alternative design solutions based on the estimated Carbon Footprint of installations, that is integrated part of our cost tools

• You hold a relevant academic degree (e.g., Bachelor’s or similar from a technical background)

• You have worked as a Project Manager in the past on mid to large sized projects

• You have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience within Cost and Change Management, typically from an international bio/pharma/construction or any other technical background

• You are fluent in English and can understand Danish

• You are familiar with Microsoft Excel
