We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our Acute Medical Admin Team as a permanent secretary based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.Main duties of the jobYou will be required to maintain a high standard of administrative support to the Acute Medical Admin Team, ensuring that robust systems are in place for the efficient end to end patient pathway. - Minimum of 3 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade C or above or suitable equivalent qualification or relevant experience
- RSA III or NVQ III or suitable equivalent level administrative qualification or relevant experience
- ECDL or equivalent qualification or relevant experience
Desirable
- Business Administration Level II Apprenticeship
Personal Attributes & SkillsEssential
- Ability to deal calmly and diplomatically with a range of personalities and situations
- Trustworthy, punctual and reliable
- A methodical and organised approach to work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Accurate data entry, typing and checking skills
Knowledge and ExperienceEssential
- Previous experience working in a clerical/administrative role
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word
Desirable
- Knowledge of Referral to Treatment Patient Access Policies and procedures
- Fully conversant with all waiting list functions on PAS and the ability to action these independently.
