As part of its work, the team is responsible for creating and maintaining robust data platforms and data pipelines to ensure accurate and efficient data processing and analysis. The team embraces diversity with over 20 nationalities represented and a 30% female workforce, fostering collaboration and the pursuit of excellence.Your tasks.DHL has set up a global big data architecture as part of the Group’s digitalization agenda. In this context, we are looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our growing team of experts. You will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our DevOps and cloud ci/cd architecture, as well as optimizing the (IaC) infrastructure codebase. Preferably, you are interested in or already have experience in maintaining resources for data pipelines as well as processing (transforming, aggregating, wrangling) data.You will be involved in optimizing ci/cd pipelines and building them from the ground up. In your role, you will support our data engineers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure that the optimal ci/cd architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. It is mandatory that you work self-directed and are comfortable supporting the infrastructure needs of multiple teams, systems, andproducts.You are the right candidate to join our team if you are excited by the prospect of participating in optimizing and sometimes even re-designing our company’s data lake architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives.   • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or comparable qualification.
  • Multi-years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer, preferably on the Azure cloud platform and with Azure DevOps (CICD pipelines).
  • Good know-how and practical experience in using Infrastructure as code (IAC) methodology for cloud-native platforms automation, preferably using terraform.
  • Hands-on experience in using terraform and Azure DevOps for the build and deployment of resources and data pipelines on Azure resources.
  • Strong experience in CICD approaches and implementations for application code including unit and integration test coverages.
  • Demonstratable experience with version control systems like GIT/GitHub and developing GIT branching approaches and development workflow.
  • Proficient in Monitoring, Logging and alerting mechanisms and setup on Azure cloud platforms.
  • Know-how and Experience with Azure platform and security services – Active Directory, Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, RBAC, Firewall,Azure VNET & Subnets.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Lake/Big Data Projects implementation on Azure Cloud platforms.
  • Deep expertise in automated deployments and release management implementations, preferably using Azure DevOps.
  • Proficient in DevSecOps approaches including static code scans, security and vulnerability scans, SAST and DAST.
  • Good debugging and troubleshooting skills on platform, networking, CICD and security topics.
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Comfortable explaining complex analytical and technical content to various audiences
  • Energetic and success-oriented problem-solver
  • Independent work ethic, with integrity, loyalty and a positive “can-do”- attitude

Bonus points for:

  • Azure Certifications -Devops Engineer expert
  • Know-how and working experience with Azure Data Lake, Analytics and other related services: ADLS Gen2, Azure Functions, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, EventHub, Stream Analytics, Data Explorer, Synapse Analytics, AKS, API management
  • Demonstrable involvement in / contributions to open-source projects with relation to clouds.
  • Have experience with the CI/CD processes of complex microservice-based cloud solutions based on docker/Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge with other cloud native CI/CD and automation tools like Jenkins, Github Actions, ArgoCD, Ansible, Helm, and GCP Cloud Build.
