About the Compliance Officer role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Compliance Assurance team for someone who is looking to further develop their career in Compliance. The Compliance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the Firm adheres to regulatory requirements. The role provides assurance to our stakeholders on compliance across Goodbody’s activities. The successful candidate is required to advise, challenge and collaborate with business units to mitigate regulatory risks and promote compliance best practices.

Compliance Officer Business Accountabilities include:

-Conduct assurance reviews across business units ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and the Firm’s policies & procedures
-Complete root cause analysis on assurance outputs and assist in developing corrective action plans
-Escalate identified compliance risks and control weaknesses whilst tracking actions to completion
-Assist in the development, review and enhancement of compliance policies and procedures in line with the CBI’s regulatory requirements and expectations
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge on ESMA guidelines, MiFID II updates and other relevant regulatory developments
-Provide guidance to the business on regulatory requirements and industry best practices
-Collaborate with business units to promote a strong compliance culture
-Conduct compliance engagements in a manner that will enhance the compliance experience
 

Qualifications and Experience

-A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a second line or third line function is required
-Third level qualification in a business/legal related area is required
-Completed or willing to complete the Professional Diploma in Compliance – LCI, (Licentiate of the Compliance Institute)
