Are you an outstanding Junior Doctor looking for new challenges, career development and a competitive salary?As Resident Medical Officer, you’ll play a crucial role providing on call cover for Cygnet Hospital Kidsgrove, located in Stoke-on-Trent, StaffordshireThe RMO is the Doctor covering on calls between 5pm and 9am on weekdays and 9am -9am weekend shifts. Generally the RMO will work on a rota of 4 days on / 3 days off every week.Main duties of the jobCygnet Hospital Kidsgrove is our brand new specialist 31 bed mental health hospital for women due to open in April 2025.There will be two wards at the hospital; a 20 bed Acute service for women and an 11 bed Highly Specialised Personality Disorder Rehabilitation service.Crocus Ward will provide a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission. We are looking for someone who is…

  • Fully GMC registered & MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
  • An excellent clinical decision maker, with sound judgement, the ability to manage risk & know when to ask for help
  • Preferably experienced in Psychiatry
  • Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess & treat patients & write clear, comprehensive medical notes
  • Committed to continued professional development
