Job description
The Air Liquide site of Aalter is a specialized site producing and filling low and high purity hydrocarbons. The products are produced through distillation and hydrogenation reaction. Our customers use these hydrocarbons for electronic applications, calibrations, petrochemistry, combustion, heating & welding.The SHEQ & Operations supervisor coordinates, supervises, and analyses all production activities (production, filling & handling) and plant maintenance operations in accordance with country regulation, group policy and Air Liquide action plans regarding cylinder supply and cost effective objectives. He/She is in contact with customers to arrange orders, optimize production planning and arrange transports and strives for improving customers satisfaction through quality. The Aalter team consists of 8 persons with a varied scope of tasks and ensuring back-up for colleagues is essential. As operations supervisor, you therefore need to be able to operate the plant.The production works in a 2 shift system (from 6h30 to 14h30 and from 14h to 22h) so if the SHEQ and production supervisor supports in production he/she will also work in shifts.How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?Your main tasks as SHEQ and Operations Supervisor are:Production Management:Planning of production and fillingFollow-up of delivery timesContact with customersFollow-up of maintenanceFollow up of local instructionsBack-up of production and filling operatorsStock & Transport Coordinator:Order intakeCheck of the incoming gas cylindersPrepare transport documentsInventory managementLaboratory Management:Analysis of raw materials and end productsManagement of the analysers and methodsQuality reportingCalibrationsSHEQ:Reporting & follow-up of incidentsReporting & follow-up of complaintsPerforming safety inspections and task risk analysisProcurement:Making orders and following-upThe SHEQ & Operations supervisor reports to the Aalter Plant Manager and ensures his/her back-up in case of absence.Are you a MATCH?Your profile:You have a technical master or bachelor with relevant experienceYou have a proven ability to work in a polyvalent role and are able to keep an overviewFluent in Dutch and English (French would be an asset)Knowledge of gas chromatographyYou are a communicative team player that elicits trust through knowledge and a positive attitudeYou have an entrepreneurial spirit and are a talent in hands on problem solvingYou target continuous improvement and dare to question the way of workingYou are persuasive and persevereYou are able to listen to colleagues and motivate themOur Differences make our PerformanceAt Air Liquide, we are committed to build a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders and cultures across the world.We welcome and consider applications from all qualified applicants, regardless of their background.
