DescriptionMedical Receptionist/Administrator (Fixed Term Contract, 1 Year with Potential Extension)Open to applicants interested in both full-time and part-time workOur client, The Curran Medical Centre, established in January 2014, is a progressive, family-run practice with a strong emphasis on patient care and delivering an excellent service. The centre is now seeking to employ a Medical Receptionist/Administrator with exceptional organisational and administrative skills to join their team and work alongside their Practice Manager.The Role: This is a fixed term 1-year contract role with the possibility of extension. If so, we’d love to hear from you!In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients and visitors and will play a key part in the smooth operation of the medical centre. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, managing patient enquiries, handling emergencies, and ensuring the efficient administration of day-to-day activities.Your Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.
- Provide professional and courteous assistance to doctors, staff, visitors, and patients.
- Manage phone calls in a polite and professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff, and patient information.
- Schedule appointments between doctors and patients.
- Liaise effectively and discreetly between medical departments.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures in all activities.
- Accurately document patient visits and other administrative records.
What We’re Looking For:
- A recent qualification as a Medical Secretary or relevant administration qualification.
- 1+ years of office experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- The ability to multitask and manage several tasks/projects simultaneously.
- A positive, “can-do” attitude with a proactive approach to work.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
