If you have a passion for process optimization, technical calculations, and driving efficiency within a project environment, this opportunity is for you!IMAGINE THE FUTURE WITH ENVALIORAs a Piping Engineer, you will be responsible for all piping engineering standards at our Antwerp site, ensuring they align with legal regulations and European norms. You will manage P&ID documentation, 2D, and 3D drawings, and actively participate in project teams as a specialist in piping systems. Additionally, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless collaboration across disciplines such as E&I, CSA, process engineering, and construction.Your key responsibilities will be:
- Ensure that all piping engineering standards at Envalior Antwerp comply with legal and European regulations.
- Act as piping engineering specialist within project teams and ensure standard compliance.
- Maintain expertise in 2D and 3D drawing tools and implement a standardized approach across the site.
- Manage and update P&ID drawings, keeping them accurate for both projects and plant operations.
- Lead and supervise 2D draftsmen to ensure proper documentation of P&IDs, layouts, EX-zone drawings, and ground plans.
- Oversee 3D draftsmen, ensuring high-quality SmartPlant 3D models, Navisworks models, and scans.
- Collaborate with E&I, CSA, project engineers, draftsmen, process engineers, operations, and maintenance teams.
- Organize external support when project workload increases.
- Ensure strong cooperation with the construction department, delivering isometrics and support drawings.
- Align with the CSA department to integrate steel constructions.
- Coordinate with E&I engineers for the integration of cable trays and electrical components into 3D drawings.
- Maintain an external network in the field of 2D/3D drawing and European piping standards.
- Act according to SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) standards, life-saving rules, and SHE principles.
Requirements:THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience as a Piping Engineer within a chemical or industrial environment.
- Expertise in:
- Piping engineering
- 2D drafting (AutoCAD, MicroStation)
- 3D modeling (SmartPlant 3D, Navisworks)
- P&ID design and documentation
- Familiar with tools such as SAP, AutoCAD, MicroStation, SmartPlant 3D, COMOS, and Navisworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex piping systems.
- Project engineering experience, with a focus on planning and execution.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Proactive mindset, capable of providing strategic recommendations to management.
