The person should have a sound technical background (Ph.D required or an equivalent research experience) preferably in mechanic, electronics, control system for automatic machine. The ideal candidate has also experience in AI and machine calculations.The candidate will be offered the opportunity to become a qualified Patent Attorney through internal and external specific training on Intellectual Property.The Candidate will join our team in Bologna (Smart Working applicable) and will be part of the Coesia IP unit dedicated to energy storage devices.The Candidate will experience a challenging multi-business and multidisciplinary environment spanning form mechanics to electronics and AI applied to packaging and automated machines.He/She will strongly interact with R&D, Legal Department and external IP firms to undertake and manage actions and strategies to properly protect the intellectual property of Coesia Companies.After an initial training, the major accountabilities will include:
- Prior art research and patentability assessment of R&D outcomes;
- Freedom to Operate (FTO) analysis and competitor monitoring;
- Drafting and prosecution of patent applications
What You Need to Be Successful
- PhD in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or an equivalent research experience;
- Fluent both in Italian and in English;
- Predisposition to convert technical facts in legal consequences;
- Be detail oriented with attitude to read and draft technical documents;
- Knowledge of energy storage devices as a plus.
