What is the Role:

The Planning, Performance & Engagement team within Technology & Data has a key role in enabling the Bank’s strategy by driving transparency, consistency, and accountability across all Technology & Data functions. The renewals and partner billing team are a vital function, who are responsible for managing the Technology & Data operational expenditure budget, engaging with technology teams areas to provide assurance & insight.

The suitable candidate will actively lead out on software and hardware support renewals, including liaising with strategic sourcing and technical owners. They will support the end-to-end monthly billing validation process for in-scope partners, including liaising with technical owners and the relevant internal finance teams as required. The Risk profile for Planning, Performance & Engagement has expanded, and it is envisaged that this role will absorb an element of the workload and support the Performance & Engagement risk governance team. Key Accountabilities:

-Managing a portfolio of software and hardware support renewals, including commercial negotiations with vendors, internal AIB stakeholder management, and adherence to budget constraints.
-Supporting the billing validation processes for in scope partners, including stakeholder management and timely financial reporting.
-Prioritising tasks correctly and performing well under time constraints.
-Building close, constructive relationships with all stakeholders within the business, other internal departments and partner organisations.
-Developing and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues across multiple areas in Technology & Data and wider organisation to ensure that the Technology & Data platform is appropriately positioned from a risk governance & financial management perspective.
-Supporting the smooth running of a risk governance function, including tracking of updates to the risk registers, tracking action plans, preparing meeting packs and minutes, co-ordinating with internal stakeholders, etc.
 

 

What you will bring:  

-Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a Finance / Procurement / Risk role with experience working within small and large teams and across a range of functions.
-Proven track record in analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to perform meaningful analysis and recommend practical solutions.
-Proven track record with steering & governance driving transparency, responsibility, and accountability.
-Strong working knowledge of similar frameworks is an advantage – specifically payments processing systems and/or risk governance frameworks.
-Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, negotiation and relationship management.
