Make it your story.This position reports toService ManagerYour role and responsibilitiesAs a Marketing & Communications Specialist, you will play a key role in positioning ABB in key markets according to ABB Marine & Ports and Measurement Analytics divisions’ business priori-ties. You will develop and execute strategic marketing plans for specific countries in Europe, drive lead generation through digital marketing and support sales activities. . You will also organize the divisions’ participation at regional events, ensuring a strong market presence. Your creativity, strategic mindset, and organizational skills will be essential for success in this role. About the Divisions You will work across ABB Process Automation Divisions – Marine & Ports and Measurement & Ana-lytics, executing marketing and communications activities aligned with each division’s priorities. This role is based in Rotterdam and covers the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Denmark, and Ger-many. The Marine & Ports division leverages ABB’s electric, automated and digital technologies to enable safer, smarter and more sustainable marine and ports industries. ABB Marine & Ports provides solutions from grid to propeller, and ship to gate, including the pioneering Azipod® propulsion, electric and hybrid technologies, port automation and electrification systems and digital innovations. The Measurement & Analytics division combines innovation and experience to provide advanced instrumentation solutions. Our broad range of reliable and accurate tools supports industries operating in the most challenging conditions. In addition to standard products such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, and gas analyzers, we specialize in project engineering, system integration, training, and after-sales service. Your role and responsibilities include: – Define and execute annual marketing & communications plan in collaboration with relevant colleagues in Sales, Product management and Marketing & Communications. Develop business plans focused on driving business development for a defined market. Support the product launches by localizing plans and implementing value propositiong and positioning documentation, both – Internally and externally. – Digital Marketing Strategy Development: With marketing and sales guidance, develop strategic and comprehensive digital marketing campaigns, activating lead to revenue funnels. Define roadmaps for web, marketing automation, social media, and define analytics prior implementa-tion. – Business Impact and Analytics: Establish and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to maximize marketing activities’ impact on business outcomes. Use analytics to draw actionable insights, optimize campaigns, and enhance marketing effectiveness. – Web and Online Presence: Actively support an ongoing ABB-wide website transformation pro-gram, optimizing user experience and engagement. Support the team in the development of a best-in-class digital presence across platforms. – Marketing Automation and Technology: Use marketing automation tools for lead scoring and lead generation. Collaborate with sales teams to implement strategies ensuring alignment, ef-fective lead follow-up, and qualification. Provide structured processes for lead handover to sales teams. – Operations and Campaign Management: Define frameworks and processes for smooth cam-paign lifecycle execution. Support Marketing and Communication Managers with setting up and optimize marketing campaigns using tactics such as paid search (Google ads) and paid social (Linkedin campaigns). – Organize ABB’s presence at trade shows for both divisions. – Set-up Marcom & Communication structure/ processes in Central & South Europe and guide lo-cal MARCOM in Europe. Work with the global marketing & communications teams in the divisions to ensure alignment and local awareness.Qualifications for the role

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or a related field—international B2B experience preferred.
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing tools and processes communications within the B2B market.
  • Solid knowledge of CRM and marketing automation tools (experience with Salesforce is a plus).
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop/InDesign is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on communication metrics, measurement, and KPIs.
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English, with excellent communication skills.
  • An analytical mindset with a passion for customer satisfaction.
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to work independently.
  • Open-minded, adaptable, and eager to explore new challenges every day.
