Envisaged job starting date: 01.10.2025Application deadline: 30.04.2025Expected contest results: May 2025Applications are invited from those who fulfil the statutory requirements specified in the Higher Education Act from 20th July 2018 (Dz. U. z 2018 r., poz. 1668) and the statutes of the University of Wroclaw.Requirements: * Doctoral degree in biology.

• Documented significant publication achievements in journals from the JCR list.
• Didactic internship (exercises, field classes) at the academic level; experience in conducting classes in the field of plant systematics, plant ecology.
• Participation in scientific conferences.
• Good knowledge of English.
• The scientific research conducted must fall within the discipline of the biological sciences.
• Knowledge of Polish to the extent that it is possible to conduct didactic activities in that language.

Responsibilities:In the research area: * Conducting research activities in the field of botany.

• Dissemination of research results in the form of scientific publications in journals indexed in SCOPUS or Web of Science.
• Participation in scientific conferences/symposiums (domestic and foreign).

In the teaching area: * Preparation and conduct of didactic classes in the field of botany.

• Participation in workshops and trainings improving didactic qualifications and professional competences.

In the organizational area: * Participation in organizational work for the benefit of the individual and the university.The application for the competition should include * Personal questionnaire (

• A photocopy of the diploma confirming obtaining the academic degree of doctor or a certificate from the dean’s office on conferring a doctoral degree (with a copy of the master’s diploma).
• Statement whether the University of Wroclaw will be the primary place of work in the case of winning the competition (

). * Declaration of the discipline in which the candidate will conduct research, and in the case of people conducting research in more than one discipline, the percentage of their involvement in each of these disciplines (
). * Self-presentation (information about scientific, organizational, and other achievements).

• List scientific publications in the last ten years.
• Electronic versions of two publications (or manuscripts of unpublished works) considered by the candidate to be representative of their scientific achievements, confirming the competition requirements.
