​​Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement (P&A) provides a fundraising and alumni engagement function in support of King’s College London. We are proud to work with colleagues across the university and its health partners to help them serve society through world-leading education, research and healthcare. Our work also includes a partnership with the Maudsley Charity (the King’s Maudsley Partnership) in support of children’s mental health initiatives between the university’s Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience and the South London & Maudsley NHS Trust.​We are a committed team that brings together fundraisers working across different channels, alongside colleagues who promote King’s College London’s engagement with its worldwide alumni community. Our work is underpinned and enhanced by a range of dedicated professionals in supporting areas covering proposition development, supporter engagement, supporter operations and business operations.About the roleKing’s College London is currently in the planning stages of a major new philanthropic and engagement campaign, which will significantly scale the university’s current fundraising activity just as World Questions | King’s Answers did nearly a decade ago. We are looking for someone with the skills, commitment and motivation to take on the role of Head of Campaign Management and play a central role in driving this exciting initiative.The role will be fundamental to the delivery of a successful campaign. It will be responsible for producing and executing a plan for the campaign that covers all aspects of preparation required and is clear on roles and responsibilities, milestones, deliverables and timeframes.The role is responsible to the Director of Philanthropy & Campaign and will work closely with the Executive Director, Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement, the Director of Advancement, Communications & Engagement and the wider unit leadership team to ensure the campaign priorities and targets are aligned to fundraising capabilities, resources and timeframes and are therefore realistically deliverable. The role will involve providing excellent programme management, based on a creative approach and on excellent working relationships. There will be an important focus on engaging and mobilising the whole King’s community behind campaign and its goals.This is considered as a full-time post (35 Hours per week) and the successful candidate will be offered an indefinite contract.P&A has a hybrid working approach, with a minimum of 40% of time in the office. Typically, this equates to two days per week, but we’re very happy for colleagues to be in more frequently if they so wish.About YouTo be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:Essential criteria * Experience of working in large-scale university fundraising and engagement work

  • Experience in multiple large-scale project planning and management
  • Confident in strategy development and its translation into operational plans and activities
  • Able to co-ordinate complex projects including the ability to manage conflicts, control risks, prioritise tasks, sequence activities and identify time-based deliverables
  • Able to create clear and unambiguous communications, confident in written and verbal communications
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels through persuasion and negotiation. This includes well-developed stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to work with subject matter experts to create a unified vision
  • Confident working in a complex matrix environment with multiple stakeholders and potentially conflicting requirements with an ability to present complex information and concepts in a clear and easily digestible manner
  • Able to demonstrate an interest in and appreciation of the mission, purpose and values of King’s
