Description and requirementsWe are looking for a Senior Facade Project Manager to join our Building team, to complete design, production and safe installation to agreed programmes and within budget. You will also ensure full compliance with performance and quality requirement of all products and at all project stages.Established in the UK in 2000, Skanska has more than 3,300 local experts delivering projects across sectors including real estate, defence, education, highways, rail and water. Our Building team have created inspiring places to work including Norton Folgate in London and Unity Place in Swindon.This role will be based on the prestigious South Molton Triangle.What you’ll do:

  • Review and comment/approve of package issued documentation, for example drawings, reports, technical queries, requests for information, safe system of works and risk assessments, etc.
  • Collaborate with package quantity surveyor for package cost control.
  • Day-to-day liaison with design team and specialist contractor team for all design, production, and installation matters.
  • Carry out off-site and on-site inspections to assess production status, ensure quality of manufacturing and installation including testing and benchmarking, relevant reporting.
  • Coordinate and monitor all site activities associated with the façade, in partnership with other package managers and with due consideration to other packages.
  • Track progress vs. package programme, identify and implement corrective actions to meet deadlines. Produce short and medium term programmes for the façade package fully coordinated with the overall programme and key milestones.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Proficient and proven understanding of façade engineering, detail design, testing, production and installation, technical/material information.
  • Proven experience in delivering complex and large facade packages to a high standard
  • Prior line management experience
  • Ability to contribute to internal matters regarding the facade discipline, including running of sessions, supporting strategy and innovation and generally acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Strong ability to deliver façade packages on time and on budget at all project stages.
  • Experience with precast and handset masonry facades
  • Appropriate engineering/construction qualifications and competency
