Offer DescriptionChemical synthesis, isolation, purification and chemical characterization of analogues of an antimalarial lead compound and different chemical probes and fluorescent derivatives thereof to be used in pull-down studies. Supervision of less-experienced members of the team working in the project. Preparation of reports and presentations for regular meetings. Organization of outreach activities. Management of stocks of reagents, solvents, and chromatographic material.Where to apply WebsiteRequirementsResearch Field Chemistry Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsDegree in Pharmacy or Chemistry (+ Master in Medicinal Chemistry or Organic Chemistry), PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, experience in medicinal chemistry projects, with hit-to-lead optimizationSpecific RequirementsOver 2 years of postdoctoral experience in a different university to that of the PhD degree; experience in the development of synthetic methodologies; experience in the synthesis and characterization of fluorescent compounds; experience in the isolation, purification and characterization of highly polar polyfunctionalized compounds; highly qualified in structural elucidation by spectroscopic techniques; experience in supervision of pregraduate students; experience in the management of stocks of reagents, solvents, and other consumables for a med chem laboratory; training or experience in intellectual property, transfer activities, valorisation projects and/or biotech companies; highly qualified user of ChemOffice, MestreNova, SciFinder, and Reaxys; engagement in outreach activities.Languages ENGLISH Level ExcellentAdditional InformationEligibility criteria
