Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:

Functional Safety Engineer – £34/hr (Inside IR35) – Coventry – 6 Months (potential to extend)

Duties:
This function is responsible for the functional safety verification of automotive management controls software.
A Specialist Professional is a recognized subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.

Responsibilities include:
– Understand and co-ordinate activities between all stakeholders in order to deliver safety-related verification activities
– Ensure common approach and common technical solutions where possible across all projects
– Ensure that ISO26262 (Part 6)/(Parts 4&5) are satisfied.

Experience:
– Prior experience of functional safety verification within a software/controls role
– Functional Safety (ISO26262) experience at Software level
– Specific knowledge of ISO26262 (Part 6)/(Parts 4&5) required

Education:
Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred

Additional Information:
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.
