The Engineering Team at Morgan McKinley is hiring an Engineering Surveyor to carry out statutory inspections of lifting equipment and Heavy industry equipment on behalf of a leading insurance provider.Based in Leinster, this field-based role offers the opportunity to work independently, applying your engineering expertise to ensure compliance with Irish health & safety legislation.Key Responsibilities:Conduct LOLER-compliant inspections of Tower cranes, mobile cranes, gantries, Forklifts, hoists, lifting accessories (chains, slings, shackles)Goods lifts, MEWPs, and other load-handling equipment etcComplete accurate, detailed reports in line with insurance and legal standards.Identify safety-critical issues and provide clear advice on corrective actions.Support clients with compliance and risk management guidance.Manage your own inspection route and maintain strong client relationships.What You’ll Need:Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering qualification (Level 6 or higher).Hands-on experience working with or inspecting cranes and lifting gear.Excellent report writing and customer communication skills.Full clean driving licence – a company car is provided.Desirable Experience:Previous experience in a similar engineering inspection or surveying role.Familiarity with statutory examination of lifting accessories and plant.What’s in it for you?Join a respected name in the insurance inspection industry.Excellent salary, bonus, pension, and career development support.Structured CPD and pathways into senior or specialist roles.A high level of autonomy with a strong support network.
