The ideal candidate will lead the Regulatory Department to ensure robust regulatory compliance, while overseeing master data management and customer reporting to support cosmetic product registrations and market compliance.In particular:

  • Managing people, projects, and budgets, driving performance and strategic alignment within the Regulatory team.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to customers, providing expert guidance on product safety, compliance, labelling, and registration requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining compliance processes and systems to ensure accurate master data management and transparent regulatory documentation.
  • Coordinating and managing regulatory audits conducted by authorities to verify compliance in cosmetic product manufacturing.
  • Promoting regulatory good practices and harmonisation of internal processes to ensure ingredient and product compliance across markets.
  • Represent the Regulatory Function on the Management Team.
  • Collaboration with Technical Services, Operations, Quality, Sales and Procurement to ensure compliance and safety of cosmetic products produced by the company.
  • Lead relationships with internal and external customers to manage complex compliance solutions tailored to business need.
  • Manage external consulting support for assistance in key Regulatory functions
  • Ensure the integrity of the regulatory data and the coherence with other SAP ERP systems for compliance of finished products to official regulations and customer guidelines.
  • Play a pivotal role of the digitalisation of the department.

  • PhD in Chemistry, Biology or related field.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • 10-15 years regulatory experience in cosmetics products consumer goods industry, with a track record of Leadership, technical knowledge, safety assessment and people management.
  • Track record of influencing business and external customers and trade associations on strategic regulatory matters.
  • Good Knowledge of Coptis, SAP or other specialised software solutions for the cosmetic industry.
  • Have existing relationships with key regulatory agencies such as EU Commission, US FDA, China NMPA a plus.
  • Certified Cosmetic Safety Assessor a plus.
