Job description

  • Develop utility-scale battery storage projects until Ready-to-Build milestone including the management of the collaboration with external development entities (25% of your time);
  • Ensure follow-up of the stakeholders of the project as grid operators, local authorities, landowners and the wider public as part of the project development process (20% of your time);
  • Conduct high-level site analysis and support in the due diligence processes of projects and to actively participate in projects portfolio acquisition (20% of your time);
  • Follow-up regularly the regulatory changes and market reforms concerning battery storage in Italy (15% of your time);
  • Cultivate the interface with external partners, support functions (10% of your time);
  • Own and prepare all relevant documents to internal and external stakeholders (10% of your time).

  • Educational Background: You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: You have a minimum of 5 years experience in developing renewable energy projects or at least 2 years specifically in BESS project development in Italy, with a focus on permitting and grid applications.
  • Regulatory Expertise: You’re well-versed in local development processes, regulations, and call-for-tender mechanisms, with solid knowledge of grid connection permitting.
  • Energy Markets Insight: Experience in energy markets and BESS revenue streams would be a major advantage.
  • Technical Proficiency: You are highly skilled with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint), and have experience with software as Google Earth, QGIS, or equivalent GIS software.
  • Language Skills: You are fluent in both Italian and English.
