With a long-standing reputation for delivering award-winning legal services, the firm is now seeking a skilled Private Client Legal Secretary to support its highly regarded Private Client department.This prestigious team – one of the largest and most experienced in the region – comprises four Partners alongside a strong cohort of senior associates, solicitors, and legal assistants. As a Legal Secretary, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to at least two fee earners, contributing to a department that handles complex and sensitive matters with professionalism and care.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage client communications and schedule appointments in the absence of fee earners
- Open and close client files, ensuring full compliance with AML and risk procedures
- Maintain lawyer diaries, coordinate meetings, and handle internal/external correspondence
- Prepare and draft standard legal documents and assist with the management of deeds
- Liaise with the accounts department to facilitate accurate billing and financial processing
- Update case management systems and maintain client records with precision
- Carry out a range of administrative tasks including document archiving and photocopying
- Provide IT and office equipment support, escalating issues as appropriate
- Assist with departmental cover, including phone duties and overflow secretarial support
- Uphold firmwide policies and ensure client service remains at an exceptional standard
About You:The successful candidate will have prior legal secretarial experience – ideally within Private Client – although high-calibre candidates from other legal disciplines will be considered. You’ll bring a client-focused approach, fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 50 wpm), and meticulous attention to detail.
