Tailoring our service to each students’ individual needs and career aspirations, we are an integral part of the student journey that starts at enrolment and continues beyond graduation.The RoleAs Assistant Professor (Teaching) in Aviation Human Factors you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience. Assistant Professors (Teaching) lead on aspects of the student learning experience including the leadership of staff teams.Based within the College of Engineering, Environment and Science you will work with and lead other academic colleagues to enrich the student learning and teaching experience to ensure, as appropriate, relevant aspects of research, enterprise and professional context are embedded in modules and courses.Duties:
- Lead the curation, adaptation, design and development of module and course teaching materials including Curriculum development.
- Supervise undergraduate and/or postgraduate students as they undertake individual and group projects.
- Support the delivery of CPD courses where appropriate.
Qualifications Required
- Master’s degree in an appropriate subject OR (if from a professional practice background) a good Honours Degree and an appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
- A teaching qualification or extensive experience of delivering professional and/or university education.
- Experience in an aviation context is essential.
Successful CandidateYou will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in human factors, ideally in aviation, with the development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.You should have excellent, up-to-date knowledge in both theoretical and applied knowledge in aviation human factors and be able to link current themes and state-of-the-art applications in your teaching, sharing our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do.BenefitsAs a staff member of Peoples future limited, you will have a access to a wide range of industry leading rewards and benefits which includes:
