1:1 TA in Early Years

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) with a Level 2 or 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification to provide 1:1 support for a child within the 2 year old provision at a welcoming primary school in Kirkby. This role is a great opportunity to make a real impact on a child’s learning and development while advancing your career in education.You will need to hold a minimum level 2 qualification and have experience supporting children with SEN. The role is to start asap likely for the rest of the academic year.

Your Role:

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in Early Years, you will:

* Provide individual support to a child, ensuring they can engage and thrive in the learning environment.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, structured activities.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that supports the child’s development.
* Work closely with the SENDCO, teachers, and parents to track progress and implement tailored strategies.
* Promote positive social and emotional development through interaction and encouragement.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a candidate who:

* Holds a Level 2 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
* Has experience working in a UK primary school setting (UK experience is essential).
* Understands early childhood development and SEN support strategies.
* Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Can work Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
